Homebirth Supplies

Here is the list of needed supplies for your upcoming birth. Please have all items ready and in a convenient location by your 37 weeks.

Birth kits can be purchased during a visit.

  • Purchased birth kit
  • Birth pool ( if desired)
  • Cameras/phones and chargers
  • Overnight bag packed clothing and toiletries (in the event of hospital transfer)
  • Food for labor and postpartum
  • Electrolyte drinks( coconut water, Gatorade,)  and/ or juice
  • Labor comfort measures
  • Essential Oils, lotions, preferred play list
  • 2 sets of clean sheets
  • 8-10 clean towels (bath & beach sized)
  • 2 plastic sheets to cover the bed (shower curtain or plastic mattress covers)
  • Heating pad
  • Thermometer
  • Wash cloths (8-10)
  • Baby (receiving) blankets
  • menstrual pads
  • Depends disposable underpants
  • Roll of paper towels
  • 2 Large trash bags
  • Toilet paper
  • Hand soap
  • Olive oil ( 4-6 0z)
  • Hydrogen peroxide
  • Rubbing Alcohol
  • Drinking water hose long enough to reach from water source to birth tub location – ( if using an inflatable birth pool)
  • Sink adapter for hose ( if using a inflatable birth pool)
  • Snacks for the family, and birth team
  • Infant Carseat
